Kim Chong Young Museum was established in 2002 in order to commemorate the pioneer of modern Korean sculpture, Kim Chong Young and to support young sculptors. The museum focuses on preserving and enriching his philosophy on abstract sculptures through archiving and researching his works. Our institution also holds a biennial Kim Chong Young Sculpture Award for young artists to inspire their works and to continue spreading pedagogical philosophy of Kim Chong young as a progressive art educator. The museum’s aesthetic and contemporary architecture serves many visitors, who wish to find an asylum from a bustling city environment.
