Space K Gwacheon holds Scotland’s emerging artist Caroline Walker’s solo exhibition, Painted Ladies. After graduating from Glasgow School of Art and London Royal College of Art, she was invited for multiple exhibitions, including 10 solo exhibitions from all over Europe. Caroline’s works focus on examining social, cultural, and political aspects of femininity in detail and reflecting them into her works, which depict general mundane lives of women in contemporary spaces from the voyeuristic view. This exhibition is an extension to her exhibition, Bath House, at Space K in 2014, and she presents 13 new works of which backgrounds take place at beauty salon in London, which are typically considered women’s places. Space K wishes you to meet Painted Women within spaces where there are full of cravings and fantasies before the aesthetic consumption.
